AVMS UI EDITORIAL BOARD: Fashion & Beauty - Beauty Hacks to stay sane during the ASUU strike.

Have you been at home for the past 6 months of the strike and it's getting exasperating? Here are a few things you should try to keep yourself motivated - if you haven't already tried them.

1. Wake up early: Yes, wake up early. I know some of you reading this would be like, "if I wake up early then the day would be longer." It helps, honestly. Wake up early, get a couple of things done and then you could sleep at other times of the day.

2. Bathe in the morning: These things may sound very cheesy, but if you've been at home for the past 6 months of the strike, then you can relate to the lack of motivation to even bath. Kill the laziness and go have a good bath. And have it early on in the day.

3. Have a nighttime self-care routine: So a lot of ladies, and a few guys, already have skincare routines. Even if you aren't one to do all the cute skincare stuff, just have night time practice. Change into pyjamas or fresh new clothing, wash your face, listen to music, read a book, any other activity that could give you the "feel good" effect.

4. Dress nicely around the house: To be honest, it helps. It's more of a psychological thing than a physical thing. Dress up, even if it's into casual clothes. Actually, make an effort. Spray a little perfume too, so you smell good. If you smell good and look good, it is inevitable to feel good.

5. Clean up your space: The sense of accomplishment that comes along with this ignites a "feel-good" feeling. Make an effort. You'd be surprised at how far this goes to help.

6. Make your meals: Cook. Make your meals just the way you like them and enjoy them. You'd feel really good.

7. Find love: Okay, this might not a beauty hack 'sha,' but having someone who loves you or those who love you around at times like this could just be the perfect thing you need.

The grind continues. We won't be weary!

I hope these tips help you feel much better.
