Aderinsola Onibon, the face behind RinsolaGlam and AVMSUI brand of the week, talks to Blessing Sodeinde about her brand.

Can you introduce yourself and what you do?

My name is Aderinsola Onibon, a DVM III student. I am a makeup artist and the mastermind behind RinsolaGlam, a brand specializing in bridal and unique occasion makeup. We offer top-tier makeup and makeover services to bring out your inner radiance and redefine your look for any occasion.

What made you want to be a makeup artist?

I was keen on learning something at the time. Doing makeup for myself then was a struggle, so I decided to learn makeup. Curiosity about how it is done made me a makeup artist.

What type of makeup do you specialize in?

I specialize in bridal and unique occasion makeup. I am also thinking of learning special effects makeup soon.

How long does an average makeup session take?

An average makeup session with me takes about an hour from start to finish.

Can you show us a few photographs of people whose makeup you did?

Sure. I am delighted to.

How would you advise a client who asked for a makeup style you didn't feel was suitable for them?

In that situation, I will show my clients samples of makeup looks that would fit them better.

What does your price include?

Prices depend on the occasion and what you want. It varies, but trust me, it is student-friendly.

Can you travel to any location for work?

Yes, especially if it is a bridal work.

What has been the greatest challenge for you as a makeup artist?

For me, it is makeup products prices and client pricing.

What does a typical week look like as a makeup artist and vet student?

I attend classes during the week, then on weekends, if I have jobs, I go for it. I don't like working during school hours, but you have to make sacrifices occasionally. Majorly, it is school, then makeup.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not working or studying?

I enjoy having alone time with food and movies.

Where do you see yourself in five or 10 years?

Well, in five years, I still see myself in the makeup industry and as a veterinary doctor.
