Who has the time or energy to cook after attending classes from 8AM to 5PM?


Sometimes, it is just easier and more convenient to eat out than cook at home, particularly if you're a student with a huge workload, a.k.a, a Vet student.

Chef Kabs: A Taste of Excellence


Ilo Kabira, the owner of ChefKabs, once said that ChefKabs started to solve a need. 


This brand is famous for a lot of things, but most importantly, their stir-fried pasta. They are also well known for its creative take on traditional Nigerian food. 


The Ofada rice with the rich sauce blended with ponmo, fish and gizzard is just a hit. There is also the gizdodo - a delightful mix of chicken gizzard and plantain diced together with spicey atarodo to make your tastebuds dance. 




And I dare not forget the signature jollof rice, served with peppered chicken of any size that you desire. 


The online staff is friendly, and the waiting time is usually short. You can order your meal online and have it delivered quickly as well.

Matti Grills: Where Every Bite Matters


Matti Grills is a top pick for many students, renowned for its mouth-watering dishes. 


Their tantalizing stir-fried spaghetti and smoking hot jollof rice are heard to be fan favorites, but that's just the beginning. From grilled chicken and turkey to pepper soup, every meal is a delight. They serve other meals too, such as yam and fried eggs, and, the delicious and filling asun pasta.



Whatever your craving is, they have something for you. They deliver quickly, ensuring that your food arrives fresh and hot. You can easily place your order and have it delivered straight to your hostel or anywhere you are located.

Archives: The Home of Comfort 


Are you really a UI student if you have not eaten from Archives? 


Archives is loved for its home-cooked style meals. Dishes like pounded yam with egusi soup, amala and ewedu, served with assorted meat, remind students of home.


The portions are normal-sized, with student-friendly prices. The service is warm, but it can be a bit slow at peak periods. The cozy setting makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal. 


You can order online as well and the delivery is swift and reliable.

Spices: Where Every Dish is a Spice-full Adventure


This restaurant offers a naturally cool environment and is busier in the evenings. The dining experience here is a treat, with options to eat in or take out. 


The Goat Meat Asun is a smoky, flavorful delight, while the Special Assorted Pepper Soup is a spicy and rich blend that tantalizes the taste buds. Other meals that are served here include Fish and Chips, Catfish Barbeque, Rice and Chicken, and Chicken and Chips. 


lt iss more of an adult environment, and is not appropriate for children, but the food and atmosphere make it a great spot for a relaxing meal.

Mama Annat Restaurant: A Quick and Delicious Escape


Mama Annat Restaurant is the perfect stop after a hectic eight-to-one class. 


You can easily slide inside and ask for a sizzling plate of rice and stew with beef, a student pocket-friendly option. 


For those craving something different, there’s always jollof rice and fried rice. If you have an appetite for something else, you can savor local dishes like amala and ewedu, or pounded yam and vegetable soup. The rich, savory tastes of these traditional meals will surely satisfy your hunger.
