The First Of Its Kind! - AVMS Art In The Park.

 

It’s official! We are stepping away from dissection sessions, 8-5s, microscopes, steeplechases for something truly exciting. The AVMS is organising a picnic, themed - ART IN THE PARK, which will be taking place on Saturday, 14th December, 2024. This time around, for the first time ever, we are collaborating with another school - AVMS FUNAAB. 

The essence of a picnic lies not just in its simplicity, but in its power to nurture. It reminds us that life’s greatest joys are often found in shared moments - the laughter, the music, and the memories shared. Here is why the association has organized a picnic. For just 3,000 Naira, you will get to experience a fun filled day. 

This kind of collaboration is the first for us and it’s something to get excited about. 

The social secretary, Ojelabi Fimisogo promised that the day will be packed with fun, connections, and memories. 

‘This upcoming collaboration is an opportunity for students to share experiences, exchange ideas and have fun while basking in nature’s embrace’ he said.

Wondering about the activities lined up for that day? Here are two highlights of the day:

 PAINT AND SIP 

Who knew that there would be a time where we get to swap our lab coats for aprons, scalpels for paintbrushes? This offers us the perfect opportunity to take a break from all the formalin fumes, endless clinical rotations, and parasitology practicals that have been stealing our time (and maybe a bit of our sanity). For many of us, it might be the first time we’re creating something that doesn’t include slides presentations. 

So, come paint and remind yourself what fun feels like!

A DERBY FOOTBALL MATCH

And here’s the kicker, to make things even more exciting, the AVMS Sports Secretary, Olubiro Tesleem has announced a friendly football match with the other school. 

It is going to be a friendly yet spirited football match between AVMS UI and AVMS FUNAAB. The energy will definitely be electric! With other planned activities, this is one event you absolutely can’t afford to miss!
